3 tips for the bride on her wedding day

There is so much to do and plan for in the lead up to your wedding day. It can be overwhelming and exciting, but you need to consider so many moving parts.

To help, here are my top 3 tips for brides on their wedding days:

  1. Make sure you schedule yourself enough time for photos during your prep. I often recommend 90-minutes for my brides. It gives us enough time to not only get you ready in a relaxed environment, but to have some fun portraits with your girls and any family that is there too.

  2. Bring flats! Now, don’t get me wrong, I’ve never worn high heels. I don’t know the plight of the female foot, but I do know that you’ll be standing up a lot on your wedding day. Those little footsies are gonna get sad at some point! Having flats on hand for later in your portrait session or for walking between locations will make a huge difference on the day!

  3. You’ve put a lot of work into the details for your wedding, and believe me, I get it. From your jewellery and shoes, to your flowers and reception design. You’ve been working on it for months, sometimes even longer! It’s very easy to get caught up in the details on the day in a way that can sometimes cut into your enjoyment of them. The only guarantee on a wedding day is that not everything will go to plan. That’s normal. The day has arrived, and all the things you’ve put together for the day are now here to be enjoyed. Make sure that you take time to do just that.
