Polka Dot Bride feat. Russell Stafford Photography

Recently I was featured on the Polka Dot Bride blog, where they showcased my work at Kayla and Josh’s Autumn Southern Highlands wedding. It’s such an honour to be featured and recognised on their blog, check it out below!

“I’m always upfront about one simple fact around Polka Dot Bride – Autumn is my favourite and you will never change my mind. So when Kayla and Josh wed with a backdrop of Autumnal orange vineyards? It was just the ticket for The Autumn Issue and immediately had me dreaming over every Autumnal detail!

It was in the beautiful Southern Highlands that Kayla and Josh said “I Do”, with Russell Stafford behind the camera. They dreamt of a day that was “Laid back country feeling. Focused on love and happiness”.

After meeting through mutual friends, the pair couldn’t keep their eyes off one another and of course, were soon falling in love. It was a rainy day in the city when Josh popped the question. Kayla fills us in,  “I was so unaware of what was ahead of that I’d never gotten out of my pyjama top from the night before! I remember mum was secretly cluey about Josh’s intention for the day so was really pushy and telling me to get changed but I was like ‘Naa this looks fine.’ We ventured into the city for the day and I suggestively pointed out some engagement rings I liked! We got seafood from our favourite fish and chip shop and revisited Luna Park where we met. Was pouring rain but being in rain makes me hysterical (yes you read that right) so I was a giggling mess for most of the day.

He took me to Wendy’s secret garden where we found a wooden hut sheltered from the rain with a little picnic.

Then we went into the rain together and Josh told me his deep hopes for us, he expressed how much he respects and adores me and that he wants his heart to be my home forever. He said, “will you marry me?” And I said, “100% YES”.”
